Hands On Ice Cream Classes

Beginners classes assume no prior knowledge of ice cream other than an enthusiasm for eating it, and a willingness to learn. We start with milk, cream, eggs and sugar, then guide you through the process of making a Crème Anglaise. We discuss the use of various flavouring ingredients and what technical difficulties the home ice cream maker might encounter. Then we churn the ice cream and package it to take home – and you do get to taste some freshly made ice cream as well. You need not have an ice cream machine at home to learn how to make great ice cream.

Autumn 2010 classes will be held on the following dates:
